Well, dear readers, it's been a really long time since I have talked to you. Not much happening. Still visiting the Mac, volunteering at the VA and doing my once a month Feed the Hungry.
I don't talk about myself much and talk even less, about my time in the Gulf. Well, yesterday, I met a lady at the Mac, who really got me to open up - yes a couple of beers helped. At one point, she even had me in tears, as I was talking about something that happened when I was in the Gulf.
We must have talked for at least 2 hours, if not longer.
We talked about her job. We talked about Jim. Her friends that are Veterans and how one of them, is really having a hard time. She's a temp placement person and I thought about some of my friends/contacts that maybe could help her, with some of her clients.
If things work out the way we hope they will, we both should make out pretty good. Hoping she can help her clients and I'm hoping to pick up a couple of new members for the VFW.
I told her about our VA BINGO and the Feed the Hungry Program. She seemed interested in both.
In closing, I want to say thank you to her, for listening. I didn't realize how much I needed to talk to someone......and have that someone seem interested, in what I had to say........either that, or she needs to become an actress!!
